Senior Police Inspector injured in a deadly attack by cow smugglers in Jalgaon

Jalgaon, Maharashtra – A local crime branch senior police inspector, Sandip Patil was on night patrol when he chased a vehicle carrying cattle illegally. After a chase from Jalgaon to Akola, he succeeded in catching the vehicle. Sandip Patil tried to open the door, but the smugglers reversed the vehicle and tried to crush him. This move caused injury to his chest and ribs, he got scratches on the face and legs. Despite that, he nabbed the driver and confiscated the vehicle. However, the other three accomplices fled. Later, Sandip Patil informed the Khamgaon and Akola Police. Akola Police immediately set-up blockades. Despite that, all the three criminals managed to flee. An FIR is being lodged in this matter.
