“We don’t consider Khalistanis as Sikhs — they act against Sikh principles”

Founder-President of ‘Sikhs of America’, Jasdeep Singh JC, slams Khalistani supporters

Jasdeep Singh JC

Ottawa (Canada) – Jasdeep Singh JC, the founder-president of the ‘Sikhs of America’ organization, has launched a scathing criticism against Khalistani supporters, declaring, “We do not consider Khalistanis as Sikhs because their actions are against the fundamental tenets of Sikhism.” He asserted that Khalistani influence in Canada is minimal and is unlikely to have any bearing on the new government led by Mark Carney. He also strongly criticized former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, calling him “the weakest Prime Minister ever.”

Jasdeep Singh JC noted that during Trudeau’s tenure, support for Khalistanis grew as part of an anti-India agenda, which he claimed has now come to an end. “Under Prime Minister Mark Carney, this support is set to decline,” he added.

Key points raised by Jasdeep Singh JC:

Khalistani influence in Canada is negligible

Khalistanis represent only a tiny fraction of the population. Most Sikhs living outside India love India and Punjab, and they wish to see both prosper.

Khalistani elements involved in criminal activities

Under the guise of the Khalistan movement, several anti-social elements have been running illegal rackets. “We have seen their involvement in human trafficking. Sikh youth who entered foreign countries illegally were being handled by self-proclaimed leaders like Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. These youths were manipulated for bogus referendums with false promises of political asylum and other benefits. After President Trump came to power, these activities were curtailed, and investigations into such fraudulent operations are now underway.”
Condemnation of attacks on Hindu temples

“There is nothing wrong with peaceful protest, but vandalizing Hindu temples is absolutely wrong. Attacking places of worship goes against Sikh values. Sikhs have always supported India, and the Indian community abroad must remain united. We must not allow divisive forces to succeed.”

Appreciation for inviting Modi to G-7 summit

Praising Canadian PM Mark Carney’s decision to invite Indian PM Narendra Modi to the upcoming G-7 summit, JC said, “India is a strong and rising nation. Inviting Prime Minister Modi is a commendable step and marks the beginning of a stronger relationship.”
