Defence expert Brahma Chellany’s opinion on the Iran-Israel war
New Delhi – According to the first theory of air warfare, Israel destroyed Iran’s air defence system and ballistic missile launchers in the initial attack. This weakened Iran’s ability to respond and paved the way for Israel to strike deep inside; however, India’s political leadership ignored this basic theory.

They initially directed the armed forces to attack only terrorist camps in Pakistan. This was an approach that led to the loss of some Indian fighter jets, said defence expert Brahma Chellany.
