Baghpat (UP) – Badagaon in the District is a religious centre because of the ancient temple of Mata Mansa Devi and a Tirthankar temple of the Jain community. Goat sacrifice on the occasion of Eid near such religious places will not be accepted under any circumstances, VHP leader Akash Tyagi warned.
Tyagi said that as per the information, the goat sacrifice in the village is being planned, but if anything like this happens, a complaint will be filed with the police and legal action will be taken. When the Hindu community can celebrate its festivals in an eco-friendly manner, why would the Muslim community also not celebrate Bakri Eid in eco-friendly manner ? Instead of goat sacrifice, Muslims should celebrate Bakri Eid by distributing sweets, milk, kheer, etc. and maintaining brotherhood. If this happens, the Hindu community will also stand with the Muslim Community. But he firmly stated that animal sacrifice will not be allowed under any circumstances.
