Chenab Bridge is considered to be a historical phase in the journey of providing basic infrastructure in India. This bridge is also considered to be an important stage in the development of Jammu-Kashmir. Even after 77 years of independence, Kashmir loses contact with the rest of the country during the snow fall. National Highway-44 is closed which has been the road to go to the valley.
