Bangladesh Government criticises the drive to deport Bangladeshi infiltrators

Dhaka (Bangladesh) – India has accelerated the drive to deport infiltrators across the country after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Under this, each case is investigated individually. The infiltrators are sent back to Bangladesh. On this, Bangladeshi Foreign Advisor Mohammad Towhid Hossain accused India by saying India was pushing people back to Bangladesh without following any deportation procedure by declaring them foreigners.

Mohammad Towhid Hossain accused India of forcibly sending infiltrators back. India gave Bangladesh a list of some people claiming to be Bangladeshi citizens. India accepted some of them after verifying the authenticity of their documents. It will ascertain each case individually. Only those with proof of Bangladeshi citizenship will be accepted. A formal mechanism is applied to resolve consular issues. Bangladesh is working to ensure that all procedures are carried out properly. Bangladesh is in regular contact with India.
