Pakistan’s Field Marshal Asim Munir Fools Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif

Pakistan: After being promoted to Field Marshal, Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir hosted a banquet on the night of May 25. Attending the event were Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President Asif Ali Zardari, political leader Bilawal Bhutto, and various military officials. During the gathering, Munir presented a photograph to Prime Minister Sharif, claiming it depicted Pakistan’s alleged response to India during “Operation Sindoor.”

However, it has now emerged that the photograph is five years old and shows Chinese troops, not Pakistani forces. The image is from August 18, 2018, and features China’s 74th Army Group launching multiple rockets using the PHL-03 long-range rocket system.
This revelation has sparked widespread ridicule of Munir on social media. Despite India defeating Pakistan during Operation Sindoor, Pakistan’s military and government continue to celebrate a supposed victory, demonstrating a level of intellectual bankruptcy that the world is now witnessing.
