Pakistani Army Chief is religious fanatic : EAM Dr S Jaishankar

New Delhi – “The attack in Pahalgam was triggered by a very barbaric terrorist attack in the Indian territory of Jammu and Kashmir in which 26 tourists were murdered in front of their families after ascertaining their religion. It was done to harm tourism, which is the mainstay of Kashmir economy, and to create a religious discord deliberately, an element of religion was introduced. To understand this, you’ve got to see that on the Pakistan side, you have a Pakistani leadership, especially the army chief, who’s very driven by extreme religious outlook,” said Indian External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar. He was speaking in an interview with a Dutch news channel.

No one mediated during ‘Operation Sindoor’

India and Pakistan have agreed to a ceasefire through direct talks. During ‘Operation Sindoor’, many countries approached India; but India told every country, including the US, that if Pakistan wanted a ceasefire, it would have to talk to India directly, Dr Jaishankar also said at this time, rejecting the claim that the US had mediated in the matter.

Editorial Perspective

Not only the army chief, but the entire Pakistan is a religious fanatic State. Since it was created on the basis of religion, it is necessary to treat Pakistan accordingly.
