Foreign Minister Dr S. Jaishankar emphasises

New Delhi – For years, India’s national policy has been that only bilateral talks without any mediator can take place with Pakistan. The talks will be exclusively on tackling terrorism and evacuating Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Foreign Minister Dr S. Jaishankar made a clear statement to reporters that once India hands over the list of terrorists to Pakistan, it will have to shut down their infrastructure.
China’s satellite aided Pakistan
Dr Jaishankar said that during Operation Sindoor, China’s satellite helped Pakistan; however, India received strong global support.
It is clear who was demanding the ceasefire
By destroying terrorist infrastructure, we have achieved our set objectives. Since the major targets were met, I believe we adopted the right approach. Because even before Operation Sindoor, we had sent a message to Pakistan that we are attacking terrorist infrastructure, not the military, and they have the option to stay neutral and not intervene. They did not heed the advice. On the morning of 10 May, they suffered heavy losses. Satellite images clearly showed how much damage we caused them. After that, it is clear who asked for the ceasefire.
Indus Water Treaty will remain suspended
Dr Jaishankar said the Indus Water Treaty will remain suspended until Pakistan completely stops terrorism from across the border.
Editorial PerspectiveIt is now necessary to take the firm stance that no discussions will happen with Pakistan on any other formula. Pakistan must stop the terror war it has waged against India on its own and hand over Pakistan-occupied Kashmir to India to preserve its own existence ! |
