Prime Minister Modi’s Statement During Visit to Air Force Base in Adampur (Punjab)
Adampur (Punjab) – Taking up arms to eliminate evil and establish righteousness is a part of our tradition. When the vermilion (symbol of marital status) was wiped off the foreheads of our daughters and sisters, we crushed the heads of the terrorists by entering their homes. They were cowardly hiding, but they forgot that the army they had challenged was the army of Hindustan. We have clipped the wings of terrorists. We have struck them down even in their own homes, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He was addressing soldiers during his visit to the Indian Air Force base here. Pakistan had earlier claimed that it destroyed the S-400 air defence system at this base through a drone attack. India dismissed this claim. To firmly counter this narrative, PM Modi visited the base to demonstrate that Pakistan had caused no harm to it. During his visit, the Prime Minister interacted with the soldiers and held discussions with them.

The Indian Army humbled the Pakistani forces. Today’s soldiers have become a source of inspiration for the new generation. Soldiers, your bravery has made the sound of ‘Operation Sindoor’ echo in every corner of the nation. During that operation, every Indian stood with you. Every Indian’s prayers were with you. Today, every citizen is grateful to the soldiers and their families.
‘Operation Sindoor’ is not an ordinary military campaign. It is a confluence of India’s policy, pure intentions, and decisive capability.
