Claims of taking control over Quetta, Kalat, and Mach cities!

Islamabad (Pakistan) – On the night of May 8, after the Pakistan Army launched an attack on India, India responded with a ‘tit-for-tat’ retaliation. Simultaneously, in Pakistan’s Balochistan region, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) launched an attack on the Pakistan Army. According to reports, 15 Pakistani soldiers were killed in the assault. The attack occurred as a convoy of Pakistani troops was passing through the area.
Additionally, the BLA has claimed to have destroyed several army outposts and taken control of them. The group also claimed to have seized control of the cities of Quetta, Kalat, and Mangocher in Balochistan; however, this claim has not been independently verified.
Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has admitted that the control of the Pakistan Army and government over Balochistan is weakening. Abbasi said, “What I saw was horrifying. The situation there is so dire that government ministers cannot go out without heavy security.”
Baloch Leader Declares Independence of Balochistan!
Baloch author and leader Meer Yar Baloch has declared the independence of Balochistan. In a post on ‘X'(formerly Twitter), he urged the United Nations to initiate a peace mission in Balochistan and to provide billions of dollars for the printing of currency and passports. He also appealed to India to establish a Balochistan embassy in New Delhi.
Editorial PerspectiveIt wouldn’t be surprising if Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) also begins launching attacks on the Pakistan Army in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province! |
