Shells fired even on a Gurdwara

Jammu (Jammu and Kashmir) – Following India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’ targeting terrorist bases in Pakistan, the enraged Pakistani Army resorted to heavy firing and shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch, Jammu. Pakistani forces shelled residential areas, Government buildings, and public places.
In this unprovoked attack, 12 civilians lost their lives and over 40 were injured. One Indian soldier was also killed.
Pakistani troops also targeted the Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha Sahib, where 3 people were killed. The Shiromani Akali Dal strongly condemned this inhuman act of the Pakistani military.

1. Shelling was also carried out by Pakistan in the Uri and Tangdhar sectors of Kashmir. For the past 13 days, Pakistan has been continuously firing across the Jammu-Kashmir border.
2. Areas affected by the firing include Bandipora, Baramulla, Budgam, Jammu, Kathua, Kupwara, Rajouri, Samba in Jammu-Kashmir, and Amritsar, Fazilka, Firozpur, Gurdaspur, Pathankot, and Tarn Taran in Punjab.
3. Due to Pakistani shelling, a high alert has been issued along the India-Pakistan border in Rajasthan and Gujarat.
