On May 4, the Director General of the Central Industrial Security Force met senior security officials in Srinagar. The meeting reviewed the security of the jail and ordered steps to be taken to prevent any lapse. In connection with the Pahalgam attack, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) went to the prison and questioned Nisar and Mushtaq, for helping the terrorists. They are accused of attacking an army vehicle.
