More than 400 Hindus forced to flee Murshidabad

Bengal has become another Bangladesh. Political parties and organisations in the country are indifferent to this grave warning. What is happening in Bengal today may happen in other parts of the country tomorrow. Where will Hindus flee then ?

Murshidabad (Bengal) – Religious fanatic Muslims started inciting violence since 11th April over the Waqf Amendment Act. So far, 3 Hindus have been killed, many Hindu houses and shops have been looted and set ablaze. Due to this, more than 400 Hindus have fled from the area in fear, while many have taken shelter in schools in other villages. Following an order from the Calcutta High Court, Border Security Force personnel and 1,000 Police officers have been deployed in the area. (It is shameful for the State Government that the High Court has to issue orders to maintain law and order – Editor)

Hindus flee across the river : BJP

BJP MLA and Leader of Opposition in the State Assembly, Suvendu Adhikari, alleged that due to fear of the religious fanatic Muslims, more than 400 Hindus from the Dhuliyan area of Murshidabad District were forced to flee their homes. These Hindus crossed the river and took shelter at Lalpur High School in the Deonapur-Sovapur Gram Panchayat area of Baisnabnagar, Malda District. The politics of appeasement by Trinamool Congress has encouraged extremist forces. As a result, Hindus now feel unsafe in their own land. This is a complete failure of law and order.

Victimised Hindus recount attacks of religious fanatic Muslims

1. Mrs Manju Bhagat said, “A mob of religious fanatics first tried to break our front door. When they could not, they started entering from the back door. They broke our motorcycle, entered the house, and looted chairs, mattresses, TV, and expensive items. Our entire family was chanting God’s name. We hid on the roof to save our lives. I kept thinking, what if these religious fanatics raped my daughter ?”

2. An eyewitness said, “Muslims set an ambulance on fire. The driver was beaten up severely. We locked ourselves out of fear. I kept my parents, wife, and children inside the house. These Muslims were not outsiders, they were locals”.

3. Another victim told ANI, “Muslims broke motorcycles, set shops on fire, and looted our belongings. We stayed awake all night in fear. There were no Policemen anywhere. They were running to save their own lives. Now let us see if the Government gives us any compensation”.

4. ‘Subha Smriti Hotel’, a sweet shop owned by a Hindu couple in Suti, was completely destroyed in the attack. The shop owner cried, “Everything has been looted. The cash, the goods, nothing is left. We have lost everything. What will we eat now ?”
