Targeted for Being Pro-India and Opposed to Khalistan Movement
Vancouver, Canada – Pro-Khalistan and anti-India slogans were discovered painted on the walls of the ‘Khalsa Diwan Society’ Gurdwara, popularly known as the Ross Street Gurdwara in Vancouver. The incident is currently under investigation by Vancouver police.
According to a statement released by the gurdwara committee, a small group of Khalistani extremists defaced the sacred walls with separatist slogans like “Khalistan Zindabad.” The statement expressed grief over the act, calling it a painful moment for the community — especially as it came while Sikhs had gathered to observe Khalsa Sajna Divas, the day commemorating the founding of the Khalsa by Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
Anti-India slogans sprayed on a Gurdwara in Vancouver (Canada) by Khalistani extremists!
The reason? The Gurdwara stood for India and opposed Khalistan.
Just like j!h@di terrorists bomb mosques during namaz and kill their own, Khalistanis now seem to be walking the same path —… pic.twitter.com/yBi44pMbmn

“This day represents Sikh strength, unity, and resilience,” the committee said, condemning the act as a part of a broader campaign by extremist forces to sow fear and division within the Sikh community in Canada.
The Ross Street Gurdwara, one of the oldest in North America (established in 1906), had recently organized Baisakhi Nagar Kirtan and procession, during which pro-Khalistan groups were barred from participation — a likely reason behind the targeted vandalism.
Editorial Perspective“Just as jihadi terrorists bomb mosques during namaz, killing scores of their own fellow Muslims, Khalistanis are now doing the same — turning on their own people and sacred sites in the name of extremism. This incident lays that bare.” |
