In Varanasi, a female student gang-raped by 23 men over 7 days

6 accused arrested

Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) – A shocking incident has come to light in which a female student was kidnapped and gang-raped by 23 men over a period of seven days during the Holi festival. The accused also recorded videos of the assault. The incident occurred between March 29 and April 4. Police have registered a case, naming 12 individuals while 11 remain unidentified. The victim works at a spa center affiliated with a hotel.

In connection with the case, the police have arrested six accused : Sajid, Ayush Singh, Danish Khan, Anmol, Imran, and one other individual. Interrogation is currently underway.

The government must ensure that such cases are tried in fast-track courts and the culprits are given the death penalty !
