Mumbai High Court’s Nagpur Bench stays bulldozer action

  • Demolition of Faheem Khan’s house in Nagpur riot case

  • As soon as Nagpur Municipal Corporation issued the demolition order, Faheem Khan’s mother rushed to the High Court

Faheem Khan

Mumbai – Faheem Khan, the key conspirator behind the Nagpur riots, was arrested recently. On 23rdMarch, Nagpur Municipal Corporation used a bulldozer to demolish his unauthorised two-storey residence. The Corporation had issued a 24-hour deadline for the removal of the illegal structure, and upon non-compliance, the demolition was carried out.

Following this, Faheem Khan’s mother approached the Nagpur Bench of the Mumbai High Court, which has now stayed the action. As a result, the Corporation is temporarily restrained from demolishing the house of another accused, Yusuf Shaikh.

The Court has directed the Municipality to present its side within a week.

Editorial Perspective

That the mother of a riot-accused directly approaches the High Court only reveals this entire episode is a pre-planned conspiracy, orchestrated by an influential mastermind, with Faheem Khan merely being a pawn in the game.
