New Delhi – Leading Muslim organisation Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind on Friday said that it will boycott all the programs of Nitish Kumar’s JD(U), Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP and Chirag Paswan-led LJP (Ram Vilas) over the stand of NDA constituents on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill. Jamiat alleged that they are doing politics against Muslims.

Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind President Maulana Arshad Madani said that people who call themselves secular and part of the current National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Government are silent on the “atrocities and injustice” being done to Muslims. (The minority Muslims create riots, burn Hindus’ shops, houses and cars. However, it is hypocrisy of Muslims to portray that Muslims are being oppressed and injustice is being done to them. – Editor) He said that Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind will not only stay away from such people as a symbolic protest, but will also not participate in ‘Iftar’, Eid Milan and other programs organised by them.

Madani said, “The current situation in the country and the cruel and unjust treatment meted out to minorities, especially Muslims, are no longer hidden from anyone. But it is indeed very regrettable that those who call themselves secular and claim to be well-wishers of Muslims, whose political success has also been influenced by the support of Muslims are now doing such politics which is not only against Muslims, but also against all the justice-loving people of the country.”
