Dhaka (Bangladesh) – In Bangladesh, a dispute between the students leaders who led the movement to oust Sheikh Hasina, and the Army, has come to light. Hasanat Abdullah the organiser of the newly formed Ethnic Citizen Party, has circulated a video about the Army Chief, which claims that the Army Chief Waqar-Uz-Zaman was not keen on appointing Nobel Laureate Mohammad Yunus as Chief Advisor.

Another 28- seconds video from Interim Government’s Youth and Sports Advisor, Aseem Mahmood Shajeeb Bhuiyan, has surfaced. This video also says that the eligibility of Yunus is doubted by the Army Chief. Despite being a Nobel Laureate and a reformist, he lacks the qualifications for this role. Waqar- Uz-Zaman was not keen on Yunus’ appointment as Chief Advisor. According to sources, Zaman wanted to hand over the country to proper hands.

Two groups in the Army

According to Indian Intelligence, Yunus government and the political Alliance in the country are divided into two groups. One group supports ISI, Pakistani Intelligence Agency and the other group supports Sheikh Hasina’s Awami League Party. The Army is facing tension due to this.

Conspiracy against Zaman

Due to differences of opinions between Bangladesh Army’s Quartermaster Lt. General Faiz-Ur-Rehman and the Chief of the Army, Zaman, instability has increased. Very recently the supporters of Faiz-Ur-Rehman tried to oust Zaman, but they failed.
