BJP-ruled Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s laudable decision

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) – Uttarakhand Chief Minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami has recently taken a historic decision related to Hindu Dharma and tradition. He ordered that the month and date (e.g. Phalguna, Krushna Paksha/Shukla Paksha) should be mentioned according to Hindu calendar (Vikram Samvat), along with the date and year of the government notifications, gazettes, inaugural boards, inscriptions etc. which are circulated in the State.

1. The chief Minister Dhami has asked the Chief Secretary to issue necessary orders to General Administration Department in this regard immediately.
2. The Chief Minister said, “Vikram Samvat is an integral part of Indian culture and tradition”. It reflects our immortal identity and glorious history. This decision will help preserve our cultural values and will help the coming generations to find a connect with their rich heritage.
3. Uttarakhand Devbhoomi is the eternal cultural form of it, and the government decisions are in keeping with it. The Chief Minister Dhami said.
