Dare speak against my family, strip you and thrash you on the street

  • Congress ruled Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy

  • He stated that his blood boiled over derogatory remarks about ladies from his family

Hyderabad (Telangana) – Chief Minister Revant Reddy raged, “How dare you say anything against my family, i will strip you and thrash you on the street.”

On the YouTube channel called ‘Pulse News’, Revati Pogdanda and her associate Sandhya aka Tanvi Yadav circulated an objectionable post against the Chief Minister of Telangana and his family members. The Police registered a case against both of them on 10th March and arrested them on 12th March. The Police informed that both women had taken a video in the office of the main opposition party Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS). The Chief Minister is extremely angry about this criticism of his family.

The Chief Minister added,

  1. The post was extremely derogatory for me and my family. The language used in the post against the ladies of my family is making my blood boil.
  2. Don’t think that I will keep quiet because I am Chief Minister. You will be stripped and thrashed. Hundreds of people will take to the street if I order them to. I am tolerant by nature, even then whatever I do will be within the legal framework.
  3. I am ready for criticism any time as I am a public figure. Why target my family? Until I have perished with this evil practice of spreading insulting jibes on social media, I will not rest. Shall not spare those who spread false news on social media.
  4. People who use YouTube as a platform will not be recognised as journalists

We will expose the reality of those who spread false news on social media. YouTube users will not be recognised journalists. I have ordered our Science and Technology Minister D. Sridhar Babu, and Revenue, Housing, Information and Public Relations Minister, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, to prepare a list of recognised journalists. Those who do not have their names on this list are not journalists, they are criminals. They will be meted out with the same treatment as is given to a criminal.

Editorial Perspective

  • The Chief Minister who uses such language proves himself to be uncultured.
  • The Chief Minister must take severe legal action against those who are vicious not only to the women from his family but to any woman in the State or those who trap Hindu girls in Love Jihad.
