‘Malhar’ Mutton Certification is Just a Publicity Stunt : MLA Jitendra Awhad

  • Irrational statement by NCP (Sharad Pawar) MLA Jitendra Awhad

  • Claims that ‘Malhar,’ ‘Jhatka,’ or ‘Halal’ meat makes no difference in quality

Mumbai – “Halal is a religious certification, not a hygiene certificate. Hindus are not bound to consume halal meat. Over time, eating habits have evolved, but still, 95% of India’s population consumes meat. If asked whether the meat they purchased is ‘Halal’ or ‘Jhatka’, most people wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.

So, whether a certain type of meat is called ‘Malhar,’ ‘Jhatka,’ or ‘Halal,’ it does not significantly affect its quality or the consumer’s experience. This is nothing but a mere publicity stunt,” said NCP (Sharad Pawar) leader Jitendra Awhad. (Awhad is clearly attempting to mislead Hindus by deliberately mixing up these three distinct concepts while ensuring Muslims continue to receive support. However, Hindus are now vigilant, and Awhad should take note of this! – Editor)

This statement was made following the launch of the ‘Malhar Certification’ website (Malharcertification.com), which was inaugurated by Fisheries and Ports Development Minister Nitesh Rane to prevent meat adulteration.

We follow the ideology of Shahu, Phule, and Ambedkar – MLA Amol Mitkari

MLA Amol Mitkari

NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) MLA Amol Mitkari stated, “What should I even say about Nitesh Rane? His views on ‘Malhar’ meat certification are his personal opinions. We follow the ideology of Shahu, Phule, and Ambedkar, and we will continue to do so.”

Difference Between ‘Halal’ and ‘Jhatka’ Meat

Halal Meat: In Islamic slaughtering (Halal), the animal is faced towards Mecca, and its throat is slit, leaving it to bleed out and suffer before death. A significant amount of blood is drained from the body in this process.

Jhatka Meat: In Hindu and Sikh traditions, animals are slaughtered using the Jhatka method, where the neck is severed in a single stroke, causing minimal pain and instant death.

Editorial perspectives

  • The Halal system is not just limited to food; it has been revealed that the money collected through this certification is used to fund terrorism. This system is being systematically used to Islamise India, which poses a direct threat to the Indian economy. Therefore, it must be eradicated at the earliest !
  • Despite ‘Malhar,’ ‘Jhatka,’ and ‘Halal’ being entirely different concepts, Awhad is deliberately creating confusion and making baseless claims, thus making a mockery of himself. Isn’t it fair to say so ?
