Bengaluru – South Indian film actress Ranya Rao was arrested at the Bengaluru International Airport while smuggling 14.8 kg of gold. Ranya Rao is the daughter of Karnataka Director-General of Police (Police Housing Corporation) Ramachandra Rao. The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence officials arrested Ranya at the Kempegowda International Airport.

1.She was produced before a judge and sent to 14 days of judicial custody.

2.After the Directorate found that Ranya Rao had visited Dubai four times in the last 15 days, the authorities started monitoring her movements. She was arrested at the airport as soon as she landed in Bengaluru from Dubai on an Emirates flight.
