External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer

London (Britain) – India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar was on an official visit to the UK. He met British Prime Minister Keir Starmer at his residence. Prime Minister Starmer presented Britain’s perspective on Ukraine conflict. They also discussed bilateral economic cooperation and enhancing interaction between the people of both the countries.

In this context the External Affairs Minister visited British Trade Secretary. They discussed India-Britain free trade agreement.

Jaishankar also visited British Home Secretary Yvette Cooper to discuss joint efforts to combat terrorism.

The External Affairs Minister will inaugurate 2  new Indian Consulates in Belfast and Manchester. British Foreign Secretary David Lammy said,” it will further strengthen the trade partnership between the two countries. He mentioned that UK has promoted cooperation with India regarding defence, technology and education.
