The largest Hindu temple in the Southern Hemisphere to be built in South Africa by 2027

Johannesburg (South Africa) – After the erection of a grand Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates last year, the ‘Swaminarayan sect’ is now going to build a similar grand temple in Johannesburg, South Africa. The first phase of the construction of the temple on an area of 37,000 square meters in the busiest and beautiful ‘Lanseria Corridor’ is completed and it is being said that in the next 3 years, i. e. by the year 2027, this temple will be the largest Hindu temple in the southern hemisphere.

1. The cultural complex of the temple was inaugurated in the presence of Mahant Swami Maharaj, the present Guru of the sect.

2. In the second phase, the work of the traditional temple spread over a complex of 2,500 square meters will be started. This temple will be the center of the humanitarian work of the Swaminarayan sect in South Africa.

3. South African spokesperson of the sect, Hemang Desai, said that, if there were no obstacles experienced during the Corona period, we would have built this temple ling back. Idols of deities have been brought here from various Indian cities, including Jaipur and Tirupati in India and their consecration has also been done.
