Inzamam-ul-Haq Reveals His Ancestors Were from Haryana
Islamabad (Pakistan) – Former Pakistani cricketer Saqlain Mushtaq recently admitted on a television discussion that his ancestors were Hindu. He revealed that his great-grandfather’s name was Rud Singh.
In the same discussion, another former Pakistani cricketer, who later became an Islamic scholar, Inzamam-ul-Haq, spoke about his family’s roots in Hisar, Haryana, India. He stated that his ancestral home was in Hisar and that his father had even visited their old mansion there.
Key Highlights:
1. Saqlain Mushtaq said, “Actor Kapil Sharma is from my hometown. I am originally from Amritsar. My grandparents were from Amritsar. My great-grandfather was Rud Singh. He converted to Islam, and that’s how we became Muslims. Later, we moved to Pakistan.”
2. Inzamam-ul-Haq shared that his adopted aunt’s name was Pushpa. This has led people to question why Inzamam, who is known for advocating religious conversions, is suddenly recalling his Hindu ancestry.
Controversial Allegation:
It was previously alleged that former England cricketer and later Pakistan’s cricket coach Bob Woolmer was pressured to convert to Islam by Inzamam-ul-Haq and Saqlain Mushtaq.
Editorial PerspectiveMany people in India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and other Islamic nations were originally Hindus. They were forcefully converted to Islam through the sword. Now, some have started openly acknowledging this history. It wouldn’t be surprising if they chose to return to Hinduism in the future. |
