Pakistan Army intrudes into Indian territory and opens fire: India retaliates

Poonch (Jammu and Kashmir) – The Indian army gave a befitting reply to the Pakistani army trying to infiltrate and open fire on the Indian army.

1. On April 1, a landmine exploded in Krishna Ghati area here due to infiltration by Pakistani army. Following this the Pakistani army fired. India retaliated and brought the situation under control. Five Pakistani soldiers were said to have been injured in the blasts and firing from both sides.

2. Jammu-based Defence Public Relations Officer Lt Col Sunil Batwal said in a statement that the ceasefire was violated by the Pakistan Army with unprovoked firing. Our troops retaliated effectively in a controlled and balanced manner. The situation is under control and is being closely monitored.

Editorial Perspective

There is no merit in a ceasefire with Pakistan, rather it should be responded in the language of weapons only !
