
Dhaka (Bangldesh) – On the night of 1st March, Shikha Smruti Sarva Jan Durga Mandir was attacked and vandalised at Quazipur sub dist. In Sirajganj, Bangladesh.
The caretaker of the temple Jatin Kumar Karmakar said, “Someone hurled a bomb in the temple from outside and broke the idol. Every Sunday morning, I go there to offer worship. On 2nd March when I went to the temple, I saw the idol was broken. The administration has been informed about this.”
Quazipur sub dist. Executive Officer Diwan Aquarmul Haq and Quazipur Police Station officer Noori Alam visited the spot. Noori Alam said that the incident site has been inspected. The damage to the temple was done at night. Investigation is underway to identify those who are involved in this.
