Christian priest attempts to sexually exploit a young woman in Kapurthala (Punjab)

Several serious crimes already registered against the priest

Kapurthala (Punjab) – A 22-year-old woman from here has filed a complaint against Pastor Bajinder Singh, alleging that he sexually abused her when she was a teenager. Following this, the Police have registered a case of sexual harassment, intimidation and stalking against Bajinder.

1. The victim had been attending Bajinder Singh’s meetings since December 2017.The victim was part of the pastor’s prayer team until 2020. In 2022, he started forcing her to sit in his cabin on Sundays. When she was alone, he would forcibly hug her and touch inappropriately.

2. The victim said that when she used to travel to her college, Bajinder used to follow her in his car. He used to threaten her that if she did not marry him, he would kill her parents and brother. Bajinder Singh was married. After that, the victim started having panic attacks, due to which, she had to seek treatment in 3 different hospitals. Bajinder had threatened her before she married another Christian preacher, Raja Singh, in March 2023.

3. Pastor Bajinder Singh runs the ‘Church of Glory and Wisdom’. He is also known for his miraculous healings, which he uses to attract people to Christianity. Bajinder was arrested in July 2018 for raping a woman in Zirakpur, Punjab. He was also in jail in a murder case before that.
