German court sentences two Islamic State terrorists

Parliament was attacked in protest against the Quran burning incident

Berlin – A German court has sentenced two Islamic State terrorists to prison for attacking the Swedish parliament and plotting to kill police officers. Their names are Ibrahim (30 years old) and Ramin (24 years old). Both are residents of Gera in the eastern German state of Thuringia. They committed the act in protest of the burning of the Quran. The court sentenced Ibrahim to 5 years and 6 months, while Ramin was sentenced to 4 years and 2 months.

Police arrested the two in March last year. German authorities said they were linked to the Islamic State Khorasan Province and had received orders to carry out attacks in Europe.
