Muslim nurse’s outrageous claim at an Australian Hospital
Melbourne (Australia) – A hijab-wearing nurse named Sarah Abu Lebdeh, working at a hospital in New South Wales, Australia, has claimed that she has killed Israeli patients. The New South Wales Health Department has said that it will investigate the nurse’s claim, and patient records at the concerned hospital will also be reviewed. However, no evidence has been found to confirm harm to any patients. The nurse has currently been suspended. Although the hospital has not officially disclosed her identity, several prominent accounts on X (formerly Twitter) have identified her as a Muslim. 85% of Australia’s Jewish population resides in Sydney and Melbourne.
A well-known Israeli interviewer named Max Veifer, interviewed two nurses from Sydney’s Bankstown Hospital – Ahmed Rashad Nadir (male) and Sarah Abu Lebdeh (female). During this interview, Sarah Abu Lebdeh made the above claim, and the video has gone viral globally.

Rising anti-Jewish sentiments in Australia over the past year
For over a year, anti-Jewish sentiments have been increasing in Australia. There have been instances of Jewish homes, offices, and establishments being vandalised. Additionally, one Jewish school and two synagogues (Jewish places of worship) have been set on fire. Alex Ryvchin, an official from a Jewish organisation in Australia, has said that hatred toward the Jewish community is growing even among medical professionals in the country.
Police task force to combat anti-Jewish crimes
New South Wales Health Minister Ryan Park said that since the start of the Israel-Hamas war in 2023, a special Police task force has been established in Sydney to combat anti-Jewish crimes. This task force investigates online videos that include violations of hate speech laws.
