I will order to shoot at sight those stealing cows

Statement by Mankal Vaidya Minister of State in the Congress Government in Karnataka

Bengaluru (Karnataka) – In the wake of the increasing incidents of cow theft, an order will be issued to shoot the accused at sight, said Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying in the Congress Government in Karnataka. He spoke about the increasing incidents of cow theft in Uttara Kannada. Mankal Vaidya said that cows should not be stolen under any circumstances. He asked the police to take action against the criminals irrespective of who they were. If such incidents recur, he would order to shoot the criminals on the spot. (Why don’t the ministers realise that action should be taken before it happens, so that recurrence of such incidents do not happen again ? – Editor)

Editorial Perspective

During the Congress Government, there are cases of cow theft and slaughter, yet the ministers in the Government are still thinking about giving orders to shoot the criminals. On the other hand, in Uttar Pradesh, the BJP’s Yogi Adityanath Government is crippling cow smugglers by shooting them.
