Muslim MP consumes non-vegetarian Biryani on the hill
Chennai (Tamil Nadu) – For the past few months, both overt and covert efforts have been underway to convert the sacred Thiruparankundram Hill into an Islamic ‘Sikandar Hill.’

Muslims have constructed a dargah atop the hill, and its architectural style and pillars suggest that it was originally a Hindu temple, which has now been encroached upon.

Recently, K Nawaz Kani, a Member of Parliament from Ramanathapuram District, visited the site and consumed non-vegetarian biryani on the hill along with others.

The government’s support for the violation of Court orders
Despite a Court ruling that declared the hill as belonging to a Hindu temple, encroachment by Muslims has persisted, with the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) Government allowing such violations. No political leader in Tamil Nadu has expressed concern over the issue. Muslims are planning a large gathering at the site on 18th February.
Opposition from Hindu organisations
R D Prabhu, founder of Bharat Hindu Munnani, has condemned this act and is working to raise awareness about this among Hindus. Hindu Munnani, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have also voiced their opposition. Tamil Nadu BJP leader Mr Radhakrishnan has expressed his protest via his Facebook account.
Editorial PerspectiveGiven the historical precedent of Muslim invaders forcefully seizing Hindu temples and converting them into mosques, it is evident that their descendants are continuing those methods at present. The Union Government must now enact legislation to address this issue. |
