Prayagraj – After the successful planning of the first holy bath in Maha Kumbha Parva, the Uttar Pradesh (UP) Government is preparing to make necessary arrangements for all the remaining holy baths during this Maha Kumbha Parva. On the day of ‘Mouni Amavasya’ i.e. 29.01.2025, the Government is expecting 10 crore devotees to take a holy dip at ‘the Triveni Sangam’. Taking this into account, CM Yogi Adityanath has instructed the State Administration to make extensive arrangements. More than 60 million devotees have had a holy bath at ‘Triveni Sangam (confluence of the three holy Rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati )’ since the Maha Kumbha Parva started from 13.01.2025. On the day of Makar Sankrant i.e. on 14.01.2025, more than 3 crore devotees took a dip at the ‘Triveni Sangam’.
The next important holy bath will be on 29.01.2025, the day of ‘Mouni Amavasya’. On 15.01.2025, CM Yogi Adityanath had a meeting with the senior officers to review the preparations made for Maha Kumbha. He stated that about 8-10 crore devotees were expected to arrive on ‘Mouni Amavasya’ requiring more effective and appropriate arrangements. He instructed to have proper coordination with the Railway Administration to finalise timetable of special trains run for Maha Kumbha Parva, to increase the number of regular and special trains to prevent inconvenience to devotees. He instructed the officers to have discussions with the network service providing companies for better network facilities in the Kumbha area. He also asked the officers to monitor smooth bus service, including shuttle service and electric bus services so that devotees reaching Prayagraj don’t face any difficulties. Arrangements for regular cleaning of toilets and iron barricading should be proper. Water and electricity supply should also be regulated for all 24 hours.
