Shravanpuri Maharaj

Prayagraj – Three and a quarter year old Shravanpuri Maharaj from the Majuna Akhada has become a major highlight of the Maha Kumbha Mela. To fulfil their vow of offering their firstborn to the Juna Akhada, his biological parents from Punjab entrusted infant Shravan to the Akhada when he was just 3 months old. The parents visit him every 2-3 months to ensure his well-being.

Living in the Juna Akhada, Shravanpuri Maharaj follows a spiritual lifestyle. He wakes up daily at 4 a.m., performs his morning rituals, and participates in religious ceremonies. Instead of chocolates, he prefers fruits, engages in rituals, and chants mantras. At such a young age, his devotion and spirituality have mesmerised devotees and monks alike.Shravanpuri Maharaj, along with his Guru, participates in the bathing rituals at the Triveni Sangam. His innocence and dedication have made him a unique child Saint, serving as an inspiration to many and a key attraction at the Maha Kumbha Mela.
