40-50 crore devotees likely to attend the Maha Kumbha

Prayagraj – The Maha Kumbha Mela, recognized as the intangible heritage of humanity, is the largest human gathering of Sanatan culture. It stands as a symbol of Indian faith. This year, the Maha Kumbha Mela is expected to attract 40-50 crore devotees who hold deep faith in Sanatan culture, stated Uttar Pradesh Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh during a press conference at Circuit House. On the occasion, Uttar Pradesh Tourism Corporation Chief Executive Officer Sanya Chhabra provided details on the preparations made by the corporation for the fair.
Minister Jaiveer Singh stated,
1. The State Government is focused on ensuring that every devotee leaves the Maha Kumbha Mela with a pleasant experience. The event will serve as a platform to bring together folk artists, regional performers, and artists from across the country over the next 45 days.
2. A grand ‘drone show’ and ‘laser show’ will also be held during the Maha Kumbha Mela, with dates to be announced shortly. All necessary facilities are being set up to provide visitors with the opportunity to experience the grandeur, divinity, and supernatural aura of the Maha Kumbha Mela.
3. The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department also highlighted the ‘Maha Kumbha 2025 Prelude’ event organized in Delhi. Central leaders, Governors, Chief Ministers, and representatives from States and Union Territories have been invited to partake in the sacred bath at the Maha Kumbha Mela 2025.
4. Invitations have also been extended to ambassadors from various countries to attend the Maha Kumbha Mela. The Tourism Department is setting up ‘UP State Pavilion’ on 5 acres, where a total of 12 circuits will be showcased.
