Bail granted due to Police’s failure to produce evidence
Ottawa (Canada) – The Supreme Court of Canada has granted bail to all four individuals arrested in the case of the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. The accused are Karan Brar, Amandeep Singh, Kamalpreet Singh, and Karanpreet Singh. The next hearing in this case will be held on 11th February. The Police failed to present evidence in the lower Court, and as a result, they were not present in the Supreme Court. Seeing this inaction, the Supreme Court granted bail to all four accused. (How will the Canadian Police, who are unable to present evidence against local individuals, present evidence against India ? This has exposed Canada’s hypocrisy in making allegations against India in Nijjar case – Editor)

On 18th June 2023, Nijjar was shot dead outside a Gurdwara in Surrey, Canada. Nijjar, who was involved in several terrorist activities and murders in India, had fled to Canada in 1997. Tensions between India and Canada escalated following his killing. Canada held India responsible for the killing, which worsened relations between the two countries. India has denied any involvement in the killing. Canada has never presented any evidence in this case.
Editorial PerspectiveThis is a slap in the face to Canada’s caretaker Prime Minister Justin Trudeau ! This marks the beginning of a difficult time for Trudeau, whose politics of anti-India sentiment is now facing consequences. |
