Major increase in security arrangements in the Maha Kumbha area : All the Bhandaras being filmed by the administration

Prayagraj (UP) – Security has been beefed up in the Maha Kumbha area in the wake of threats on social media about violence. Police have been deployed in the vicinity of each Akhada, and for security reasons, filming of citizens entering all the Bhandarias has been started.

Major events of the Kumbha Mela are being filmed using drone cameras. A large number of Police Guards have been placed at each of the Mahadwaras of the Maha Kumbha. Vehicles entering the Kumbha area are being checked by the Police. Security has been increased to a large extent at important religious places such as Akshayavat, Lete Maruti Temple, Nagvasuki Temple, Triveni Sangam, etc., along with the Mahadwaras. Along with this, the Police are checking all the bridges, pavilions of the Akhadas, shops, etc. A Policeman with a gun has been placed in each Akhada for guarding. In terms of emergency security, the police are practicing scenarios on what precautions to take in case of an accident.
