Files petition in the Allahabad High Court

Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) – As per the order of the Sambhal District Court, the Shahi Jama Masjid Management Committee has approached the Allahabad High Court to stop the ongoing survey related activities there. The committee has filed a petition seeking a ban on the survey. It has also demanded not to make the survey report public and a stay the ongoing activities there till the next hearing. The hearing is likely to be held on January 7th or 8th.

Editorial Perspective

Please note that the Muslim party is making this demand as it has become clear from the survey that the Sambhal mosque was formerly a temple.
