Controversial Quranic material calling for killing the enemies of Allah found in New Orleans attacker’s house

New Orleans (USA) – On New Year’s Eve, a Muslim named Shamsud-Din Jabbar drove a speeding truck and ran over 15 people, killing them. The Police later shot and killed him. When the Police searched his home, they discovered a horrifying scene. Bomb-making materials, as well as a Quran were found in attacker’s house in North Houston, Texas. Interestingly, a page in the Quran that calls for violence was found open. The Quran was opened to Verse 9:111 which reads: “They fight in Allah’s cause, and slay and are slain; a promise binding.” The Police have now confirmed this attack as a ‘terrorist attack’.

Shamsud-Din Jabbar also spoke about the same in chilling videos posted online minutes before his attack in which he declared his allegiance to ISIS and issued threats, including to his own family. His house also contained several other books about Islam and a set of prayer rolls.
