Solapur – The first collective aarti in the State was conducted with enthusiasm and devotion in the presence of dignitaries at Shri Vaishnav Maruti Temple, Solapur. This was initiated as per the decision taken at the Maharashtra Temple Trust Conference held in Shirdi, where trustees of hundreds of temples decided to conduct ‘Collective Aarti’ every week to demand the immediate removal of encroachments on temples and temple lands. This information was shared by Sunil Ghanwat, National Organiser of the Maharashtra Mandir Mahasangh, through a press release.

1. Shri Vaishnav Maruti Temple, located in Old Gharkul, Solapur, hosted the event jointly organised by Maharashtra Mandir Mahasangh and Shri Vaishnav Maruti Temple. Attendees included :

2. On 24th and 25th December, the third Maharashtra Temple Trust Conference was held at Shri Sai Palakhi Nivara, Nimgaon, Shirdi. Over 875 trustees, representatives, priests, advocates, and temple experts from across Maharashtra participated. The resolutions passed included :
- Weekly ‘Collective Aarti’ to oppose encroachments.
- Fast-tracking legal cases of Kashi and Mathura sacred sites.
- Freeing temples in Maharashtra from Government control.
- Devotee offerings in temples should not be used for development projects.
- Declaring temple premises as alcohol-free and meat-free zones.
- Providing monthly honorariums to temple priests.Sunil Ghanwat has urged the Government to fulfil these demands immediately.
