Prayagraj Maha Kumbh Mela 2025

Prayagraj – In preparation for the Maha Kumbha Mela starting on January 13, 2025, Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj, along with Ayodhya, Varanasi, and Chitrakoot Dham, is being beautified. The government has devised special plans for the development of these pilgrimage sites.

Significant attention is being given to development work at the Triveni Sangam area in Prayagraj, the Shri Ram Mandir premises in Ayodhya, the Kashi Vishwanath Temple area in Varanasi, and the Kamadgiri Parikrama route in Chitrakoot. Key focus areas include transportation facilities, housing, sanitation, drinking water supply, medical services, and security management. Advanced facilities are being developed at these locations for the convenience of devotees.

The state’s Urban Development Department has approved a budget of approximately ₹65 crore for these projects. A special committee, chaired by the Divisional Commissioner, has been formed to oversee the work.
