Madarasas allegedly behind the derailment of trains

NIA and ATS investigation ongoing

New Delhi – The National Investigation Agency and the Anti-Terrorism Squad have received information that madarasas are behind the plot to derail trains in Jhansi and Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh. Islamic fundamentalists and terrorists are using online media to brainwash Muslim youth and use them in anti-national activities. They also have links with madarasas. The investigation agencies are raiding many places to find out more about this case. Also, the sources of foreign funds are also being investigated. In this context, two days ago, a raid was conducted in Jhansi and madarasa teacher Mufti Khalid Nadvi was interrogated for 18 hours. At this time, local Muslims, especially women, rescued Nadvi from the clutches of the agency officials; but later he was caught again. He was released after interrogation.

In the last 3 months, there have been attempts to derail important trains like Sabarmati Express and Kalindi Express around Jhansi and Kanpur. Stones were pelted on the ‘Vande Bharat’ train here.

Videos of several people providing religious education online have also surfaced, in which followers have been incited to derail trains. Investigative agencies are now searching for such people.

Editorial Perspective

This shows that Jihadi terrorism is not limited to shootings and bomb blasts, but also attempts are being made to harm India through such activities. Hence, it is necessary to demand a ban on madarasas across the country. Hindus should unite and put pressure on the Government for this.
