8-year-old girl dies of brain tumour in Nellore (Andhra Pradesh) due to superstition

Hindu parents kept the girl in a church for 40 days for treatment as they did not have money for treatment

Nellore (Andhra Pradesh) – An 8-year-old girl named Bhagyashree, living in a colony in Balaji Raopet, Kaluvai Mandal of the District, had a brain tumour. The victim’s parents took her to the church instead of taking her to the hospital. Her family was in the church for the victim’s treatment for a total of 40 days. At that time, the family prayed for her, but it did not work. Finally, on December 9, the victim died in the church.

Bhagyashree was suffering from constant headaches and vomiting. Due to this, her mother Lakshmi and father Lakshmayya took her to several hospitals for treatment; however, since the parents could not afford the surgery for their daughter, they sought help from their relatives. On their advice, the girl was taken to a church in Adurupalli for treatment. There they told the parents that paying to God would cure their daughter. The girl was kept in the church for 40 days. After that, she died due to lack of treatment.

Editorial Perspective

If such an incident had happened in the context of a temple, anti-Hindu organizations, secularists and ANiS would have created havoc and beaten up Hindus. Since this incident is related to a church, everyone is silent.
