Porvorim (Goa), 30th November – Gomantak is the land of Bhagwan Parshuram and the verily Devbhumi ! It is in this sacred land, the Sanatan Sanstha, planted the seed of spreading spirituality. It is not a mere coincidence that the two grand celebrations  – the Silver Jubilee of Sanatan Sanstha and the Amrit Mahotsav (75th birth anniversary) of H.H. Swami Govinddev Giri Maharaj – were held here on this day. Sanatan Sanstha has nurtured the vision of Ram Rajya, and H.H. Swamiji is a major contributor to the construction of the Shri Ram Mandir, a centuries old dream of the Hindus. Thus, this event is a blessing from Shri Ram and a glimpse of the Hindu Rashtra (guided by the principles of Ram Rajya) which is on the horizon.

The celebrations, held at Sukur Panchayat Hall in Porvorim on November 30, were convened in a spiritual atmosphere. Lady seekers performed the aukshan (A ritual of waving lit lamps in front of a Saint or an individual) of H.H. Swami Govinddev Giri Maharaj with 75 lamps on account of His 75th birth anniversary, and then the Chief Minister of Goa, Dr Pramod Sawant, felicitated H.H. Swamiji. H.H. Swamiji’s discourse radiated Brahmatej and Kshatratej, inspiring all the attendees to walk firmly on the path of Dharma.

The event was graced by several dignitaries, including:

– Dr Pramod Sawant, Chief Minister of Goa
– Mr Shripad Naik, Union Minister of State for Energy
– Mr Rohan Khaunte, Goa’s Tourism Minister
– Mr Shekhar Mundada, National President of Maharashtra Cow Service Commission
– Mr Virendra Marathe, Managing Trustee of Sanatan Sanstha
– Mr Chetan Rajhans, National Spokesperson of Sanatan Sanstha

The event was marked by the venerable presence of:

– Shrisatshakti (Mrs.) Binda Singbal, One of the Spiritual Heirs of Sachchidananda Parabrahman Dr Jayant Athavale
– H.H. Deepali Matkar, Sanatan Sanstha Saint
– H.H. Prithviraj Hazare, Former Group Editor of Sanatan Prabhat Periodicals

The ceremony began with Mr Amar Joshi, a priest from the Sanatan Purohit Pathshala, blowing the conch. This was followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries. Mr Amar Joshi and Mr Pawan Barve recited Vedic mantras. Later, Mr Virendra Marathe had the honour of felicitating H.H. Swami Govinddev Giri Maharaj. The Gita Parivar of Goa and Tourism Minister Mr Rohan Khaunte also felicitated H.H. Swamiji.

The event was compered by Mr Chaitanya Tagade, with Mr Virendra Marathe offering gratitude to all those who assisted with the programme. Over 1,300 people attended this grand event, making it a memorable spiritual gathering.

Sachchidananda Parabrahman Dr Jayant Athavale in conversation with H.H. Swami Govinddev Giri Maharaj

Letter of Appreciation presented to H.H. Swami Govinddev Giri Maharaj

You have dedicated your life to the revival of Hindu Dharma. Through your divine work, thousands of Hindus across the world have awakened to the values of Sanatan Hindu Dharma. Your uniqueness is reflected in your radiant personality and emphatic speech. On this special occasion of Sanatan Sanstha’s Silver Jubilee and your 75th birth anniversary, it is our privilege to express our gratitude and felicitate you. Your unparalleled work reminds us of the great Saint Dnyaneshwar’s legacy of sharing wisdom.

At just 15 years old, you delivered your first discourse on the Bhagavad Gita, and by 17, you began narrating the Shrimad Bhagavatam. For decades, through your teachings, Hindus have been nourished with the essence of scriptures like the Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bhagavatam, Dnyaneshwari, and Dasbodh.

Under the guidance of your Gita Parivar organisation, devotees in 10 countries, including the USA, UAE, Oman, and Australia, are learning and reciting the Gita. To spread knowledge of the Vedas, you have established 37 Vedic schools from the Himalayas in the north to the southern seas, through the Maharshi Vedavyas Pratishthan. Through the Shri Krishna Seva Nidhi, you have published valuable spiritual literature, offering humanity a treasure of Divine Knowledge. Your active role in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement has led to you adorning the treasurer’s post of the grand Shri Ram Mandir today.

As you display your Brahmatej (Radiance of a Brahman) while reviving Hindu Dharma, the Kshatratej (Radiance of a warrior) within you is also amply evident when you refute the heretics. Your bold words on how governance should be rooted in Dharma will serve as a guiding light for future generations. Your extensive and diverse efforts for awakening and protecting Dharma have made you a pillar of support for followers of Sanatan Dharma.

It is our great fortune to felicitate a sage-like figure who embodies both Brahmatej and Kshatratej in the land of Bhagwan Parshuram, during Sanatan Sanstha’s Silver Jubilee celebrations. We humbly revere your indefatigable service to the Nation, Dharma, and humanity.

The goal of a Hindu Rashtra envisioned by Sachchidananda Parabrahman Dr Athavale is set to realise  – H.H. Swami Govinddev Giri Maharaj

H.H. Swami Govinddev Giri Maharaj

Sanatan Sanstha stood steadfast against the tides of time. Twenty-five years ago, even uttering the term Sanatan was difficult, yet the organisation began its extensive work in serving Dharma. A nation is defined by its land, traditions, and the society that upholds those traditions. This has to be proven and Sanatan has done it. Looking at Sanatan’s growing influence, it is evident that this mission will not cease but will continue to grow, eventually achieving the goal of establishing a Hindu Rashtra.

Earlier, the term Sanatan was rarely heard of. Today, even the capital, Delhi, resounds with demands to establish a Sanatan Board. This journey from Goa, where Sanatan Sanstha originated, to Delhi highlights the power of the term Sanatan. Over the past 25 years, the organisation has faced numerous challenges and adversities. Yet, the results of Sanatan’s dedicated efforts are visible today. Words fall short in praising Sanatan Sanstha, and the time has come for the goal of a Hindu Rashtra envisioned by Sachchidananda Parabrahman Dr Jayant Athavale to be realised.

No matter how noble the thoughts are, they are meaningless without Shakti (Requisite strength to realise those thoughts). Without strength, a decline is inevitable. Sanatan Sanstha’s greatest achievement is not just spreading Dharma but also building a society capable of defending it. Goa’s image as a land of indulgence has been transformed into the land of Bhagwan Parshuram through the combined efforts of Sanatan Sanstha, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, and his government.

H.H. Swami Govinddev Giri Maharaj, like Maharshi Vashistha, has tirelessly worked to protect Dharma. His spiritual practice and guidance have transformed countless lives, turning them into patriotic citizens. Sanatan Sanstha’s incredible efforts for the revival of Hindu Dharma have enabled thousands to lead stress-free and addiction-free lives.

Government of Goa committed to protecting Deva, Desha, and Dharma – Dr Pramod Sawant, Goa Chief Minister

Dr Pramod Sawant , Goa Chief Minister

When Deva (God) is valued, Dharma thrives, and when Dharma thrives, the Desha (Nation) awakens. The Goa government is dedicated to protecting Deva, Desha, and Dharma. It is due to Rashtrasants like H.H. Swami Govinddev Giri Maharaj, that the mission of protecting the three is underway across the nation. Goa’s identity as Parshuram Bhoomi has been reinstated with the installation of a grand statue of Bhagwan Parshuram on the banks of the Mandovi River. The history of Hindu temples destroyed during the Portuguese rule is being documented at a government level through a research committee. A monument will be built to raise awareness of these lost temples.

A celebration that inspires society  – Rohan Khaunte, Tourism Minister, Government of Goa

This event is a source of new direction and inspiration for society. The work of H.H. Swami Govinddev Giri Maharaj has contributed to creating a devout society. Those in politics must also contribute to the protection of Dharma. Goa was once known for sun, sand, and sea. But under CM Dr. Pramod Sawant’s leadership, this identity is evolving. The Tourism Department has implemented the Ekadasha Tirtha scheme, redeveloping temples that are over 100 years old. The Goa government has also restored the Shri Saptakoteshwar Temple in Narve, significant to furthering the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Goa. The Central Government has approved a Digital Museum at the Fort of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Farmagudi. The Goa government is fully committed to supporting the preservation of Dharma.

On Sanatan Sanstha

Despite facing challenges, Sanatan Sanstha has made significant contributions nationwide. It plays a pivotal role in protecting Hindu Dharma from its Ashram in Ramnathi (Goa).
