Hand over the management of Hindu temples to Hindus : Global Hindu Heritage Foundation

Bhagyanagar (Telangana) – Various Hindu leaders from the forum of ‘The Global Hindu Heritage Foundation’ demanded protection of Hindu temples, offering similar facilities as those given to churches and mosques, repeal of the Charitable (dharmadaay) Act and permission of Hindus to manage their temples. A press conference was held by this organisation at Journalist Club at Somajiguda, Bhagyanagar ” We are committed to preservation, propagation and protection of Sanatan Dharma,” he said.

1. Shri L.V. Subrahmanyam, former Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh, expressed doubts about the ability of the Government to manage Hindu temples. Many secularists, atheists and non-believers, who do not know the basic principles of Hinduism, are in government positions related to temple management. If the temples of Hindus are run by such people,  So what will be the future of these temples?” he asked.

2. Former CBI Director General M. Nageswara Rao said, “I opposed the concept of ‘Sanatan Dharmarakshan Mandal’; Because we can’t say how this board will work and how it can take shape.”

3. Shri L.V. Gangadhar Shastri, founder of The Bhagavad Gita Institute, demanded that the Bhagavad Gita be treated as a national book.

4. Vedic scholar Shri Remella Avadhanulu explained the importance of the promotion of Hinduism.

5. Pankaj Srinivasan spoke about the practical problems faced by the Hindu society and how Hindus should be motivated to preserve their temples.

6. Prakashrao Velagpudi noted that he has written several letters to the Chief Minister, The Minister of Charitable Affairs, the Chairman, the Executive Officer and others of the Tirupati Tirumala Trust expressing anger over some anti-Hindu decisions and the dominance of non-Hindus in the devasthan mandals.

Hindus have been demanding this for the last few years. Now Hindus want the government to take note of this and repeal the law of temple-control by the government !
