Kawardha (Chhattisgarh) – While speaking to the media, Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri of Bageshwar Dham demanded that non-Hindus should not be allowed to enter the Mahakumbha Mela in Prayagraj. He supported the idea of not permitting non-Hindus to set up stalls at the Mahakumbha. He added :
1. Only Hindus who have knowledge of Sanatan culture, puja rituals, etc. should be allowed to set up stalls. Those who lack this understanding should not be given entry. There have been incidents like spitting or contaminating fruits. We do not claim there is a conspiracy in this, but such incidents could happen.
2. Prayagraj is home to the Triveni Sangam, a place revered by Saints. If you have no connection to religious discourse, Hindutva, Sanatan Dharma, or Shriram, why be involved in activities related to Shriram ?
