Suhail arrested in Karnataka for plotting to bomb Shriram Temple

Pakistani phone numbers and photographs showing weapons found on his mobile phone

Davanagere (Karnataka) – The National Investigation Agency (NIA), along with the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), has arrested 20-year-old Suhail, an alleged terrorist, from Davanagere in connection with a conspiracy to bomb the Shriram Temple in Ayodhya. During interrogation, Suhail reportedly admitted to plotting to target the temple. Investigators also recovered Pakistani phone numbers, suspicious WhatsApp groups, and photographs of him with weapons from his mobile phone.

Following Suhail’s arrest, police teams conducted raids at several locations in Saharanpur. The Saharanpur Police also questioned Suhail’s father as part of the investigation. Suhail had been living in Karnataka, where he worked as a painter.

Instead of keeping such people in prison at the taxpayers' expense, they should be tried in a fast-track court and awarded the death penalty.
