The terrorists in the Rameswaram Cafe blast in Bengaluru have links with the Islamic State

Bengaluru (Karnataka) – On November 15, the probe by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) into Bengaluru’s Rameshwaram Cafe blast incident in Karnataka on March 1, 2024, revealed the jailed terrorists’ link to Pakistan and Islamic State (IS). The main operative in the cafe blast case is reportedly still missing and is suspected to be in Pakistan, sources confirmed. It is reported that NIA also found that they received instructions from Pakistan to carry out subversive activities in India. The probe revealed that a group of six persons were involved in the blast case and all of them were connected to IS. Jailed terrorists in the Bengaluru Cafe blast case Mussavir Hussain Shazib, Abdul Matheen Taha, Maaz Muneer Ahmed and another unidentified were trained in making bombs. The accused had purchased raw materials online and made a bomb in a week.

The accused in the Rameshwaram Cafe blast case had planned to attack the state BJP office in Bengaluru on January 22 this year, the day of Ram Mandir inauguration in Ayodhya, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has said in its chargesheet. However, the accused were not able to do so due to the deployment of a large Police force on that day. Finally, they set off an explosion at Rameswaram Cafe in Bengaluru.
