New Delhi – The Supreme Court slammed the Aam Aadmi Party Government for the increase in pollution in Delhi. The court asked the Government when the problem of air pollution persists in the capital, why shouldn’t bursting of fire-crackers be banned throughout the year ? At present there was a ban on bursting fire-crackers in Delhi from October to January. Keeping this in mind, the Supreme Court asked the Government to decide on banning fire-crackers in Delhi for a year before November 25.
The Supreme Court has given the Delhi Government a deadline of November 25 to decide on a complete ban on bursting firecrackers. 🎇

The Supreme Court said that no religion encouraged activities causing pollution. The bursting of fire-crackers had ill-effect on citizens. Earlier, the Supreme Court had asked the Delhi Government to submit an affidavit regarding the steps taken to ban fire-crackers in Delhi.
